Year of the Water Horse

The Gyuto Monks have chosen to celebrate 2002 in Melbourne which is a water sign, according to the principals of Ancient Tibetan geomancy and studies of the elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Space.

The Five Elements

Join the monks for a program based on an understanding of the Five Elements.

  • See the creation of Chakrasamvara, Mandala of the Elements
  • Discover the Mandala in the everyday
  • Learn about the Harmony inherent in our surroundings
  • Calm your emotions through colour therapy
  • Listen to Ven. Lobsang Tsering's talk series on the Seven Royal Treasures
  • Meditate on the inner, outer and secret mandalas
  • View the Butter Sculptures of the Eight Auspicious Signs and Five Senses
  • Be moved by the unforgettable Gyuto Harmonic Chanting
  • Play cricket against the Tibetan XI
  • Make Tibetan 'Khapsey' with the monks
  • Enjoy the legendary Yak Burgers with famous Gyuto Chilli sauce

Evening teachings from Friday 8th to Thursday 14th inclusive from 7.30- 9.00pm
