Throughout the three days of
festivities, ongoing Tibetan customs to be experienced will include
games such as the Sacred Game, Dice game, No 15 game, Mij-juk
-the Human Race, Tibetan weightlifting, Coin Game and Gesar
Songs.
The first day , Tibetans traditionally
dress up in their finery so everyone is invited to come dressed
up. ( First arrival gets extra special treatment!)
The year of the Water Sheep symbolizes
Changing Fortunes - prosperity and gratitude without deceit,
honest and pure good fortune.
Monday - Lama Night:
- Welcome Ceremony with Tsampa
Tossing and Barley Drink
- Formal Losar Greeting by the
Gyuto Monks
- Messenger of Fortune Ceremony
- Gift Exchange - it is traditional
to make financial offerings to the monks at this time ( if desired
) and also for the monks to offer gifts to the people.

- The Inaugural 'Chuba Catwalk'
