gyuto monks : in australia
Chantmaster Jangden Chenmo, 1997 The Gyuto Monks have been visiting Australia since 1994. Their visits here have given Australians across the country the chance to experience first-hand the ancient and unique rituals and traditions that the Gyuto Monks have been practicing since the Gyuto Order was first established in 1475.
They have chanted and undertaken programs at the Sydney Opera House, the Darwin Surpreme Court, the Daintree Rainforest, with Aboriginal communities from the Red Centre to the Top End, the Tasmanian Styx Forest and Lake Pedder, the National Gallery of Victoria, on snow covered mountains at Falls Creek, the National Gallery in Canberra, the University of Adelaide, the Western Australian Museum, the Woodford Music Festival, in communities and towns both large and small, and in a host more venues and sites throughout our large nation.
