CR David Renouf and the model of the stupa planned for the Mornington
Peninsula by the Buddhist Gyuto monks: "There was enormous
interest created throughout the peninsula when the monks were
at Mt Martha earlier this year," he said. "A lot of
people were involved in making this model. "The shire is
looking for a site to house a full-sized stupa. We've talked
with the churches and basically the response has been 'we're
all happy to promote anything that brings more harmony and interest
to the peninsula'."
